Translation
Help translate apologetics.pro
apologetics.pro is written in English. A machine makes the first translation into each language; people who read the language then review it and correct it, sentence by sentence. If you read one of the languages below well, you can be one of those people.
The languages
No language is open to volunteers right now. Check back later, or tell us which language you would translate into.
How it works
The work happens on Crowdin, a translation platform that is free for volunteers. Open your language's project, sign in or create a Crowdin account, and ask to join. You then see the site's sentences one at a time, each with its English and the translation we have so far: correct it, or write a better one.
Nothing you write goes live on its own. The site's editors review every translation first, so a slip is caught before any reader sees it. Take your time: a faithful translation matters more than a fast one.
What we ask
Say what the English says, no softer and no stronger. Keep names, numbers and Bible references as they are, and quote the Bible from the published translation the site uses in your language rather than translating a verse yourself. Each sentence's notes on Crowdin say where it appears on the site and why it needs a person.
