Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 28, 2026 Operator: Apologetics.Pro (“we,” “us,” “our”), operator of apologetics.pro (the “Platform”).
Our approach in one paragraph
We collect as little as we can. There are no accounts anywhere on the Platform: you can read every class, every piece of evidence, every answer, and download every handout without signing in and without giving us anything. The only information we ever collect from a visitor is an email address, and only if you choose to propose new content or suggest a correction. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising, and we do not track you across the web.
1. Reading, always free and anonymous
You can browse and download everything on the Platform with no sign-in of any kind - there is no account system for readers. When anyone visits the site, our security and delivery provider (Cloudflare) and our servers process ordinary technical information (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) to deliver pages, defend against attacks and abuse, and keep the site running. This is standard operation of a website and is used for security, reliability, and aggregate understanding of traffic, not to build a profile of you.
2. Suggesting content or a correction (no account, ever)
Anyone can propose a new claim, piece of evidence, or source, or suggest a correction to something already on the site, from the “Suggest” page (or the equivalent screen in the mobile app). No account exists to create, on this or any other part of the Platform.
This form asks for:
- Whatever you’re proposing or correcting - the free text you write in, and an optional source URL.
- An email address, required so we can send a one-time confirmation link. Nothing you submit reaches a moderator until you open that link and press the Confirm button on the page it leads to: this confirms a real, reachable person sent it, since there is no sign-in to establish that otherwise. An unconfirmed submission is discarded automatically after the link expires, and the link itself can only be used once.
- A bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile), to stop automated spam; see section 5 for how Cloudflare processes that check.
Once confirmed, we keep the email address alongside the suggestion or correction so a moderator can see who it came from and follow up if needed. We also use it to tell you what happened to your suggestion: when a moderator decides on it (accepted, not accepted, or still being looked at), or if they need more information from you, they may email you at that address, and you can reply to that email (replies go to support@apologetics.pro). We only email you about your own submission. We use the address for nothing else: not for marketing, not to build a profile of you, and we never sell or share it.
3. What a moderator does with a suggestion
A confirmed suggestion or correction only ever creates a private, internal queue item for our moderators to review - nothing you submit appears on the public site automatically or immediately. A moderator decides whether and how to act on it. If they accept it, they may apply your change to the site, usually after editing or reformatting it, and we email you the outcome (see section 2). We keep a record of what was submitted, by whom (the confirmed email), how it was resolved, and, for a change that was applied, which suggestion it came from, for accountability.
4. Cookies and local storage
We keep this minimal:
- We use no accounts, and no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Our security provider (Cloudflare) may set cookies necessary for security and bot protection.
- The mobile app stores your cached copy of the evidence repository, search index, bookmarks, and any offline-queued suggestion on your own device only; none of that is sent to us or visible to anyone else.
- Pages you open on the website may be saved on your device so they read offline; clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them, and nothing about them is sent to us.
5. Who processes data for us
The providers involved are limited to:
- Amazon Web Services - hosting, database and file storage (United States region).
- Cloudflare - content delivery, TLS, security and bot protection (including the Suggest form’s bot check). Cloudflare processes traffic and IP information to protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy notice for details.
- OVHcloud - the server our email is sent from (United States region).
We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not share it except as needed to operate the Platform, to comply with the law, or to protect people’s safety.
6. Children’s privacy
The Platform’s content is public and read-only, and reading it requires giving us nothing at all. If you use the Suggest/Correct form, we do not knowingly collect an email address from a child under 16 for that purpose. If you believe a child under 16 has submitted one, contact us at privacy@apologetics.pro and we will delete it.
7. How long we keep information
- Unconfirmed suggestions or corrections (see section 2) are discarded automatically after the confirmation link expires - nothing is kept if you never confirm.
- Confirmed suggestions or corrections, including the email address and a note of any outcome message we emailed you, are kept as a moderation record so we know what was proposed, by whom, and what we told them.
- Security and traffic logs are kept only as long as needed for security and reliability.
8. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Request a copy or deletion of a suggestion/correction and its associated email address by contacting privacy@apologetics.pro.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, under GDPR or the CCPA) to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact privacy@apologetics.pro; we will respond as required by applicable law.
9. Security
We protect the Platform with encryption in transit (HTTPS), rate limiting and bot defenses, active moderation, and least-privilege access to systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and design the Platform to store as little of it as possible.
10. Data location and transfers
The Platform runs on servers hosted in the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information will be processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, give notice on the Platform.
