Response

In the mid 30s there was no growing movement to lead, only a small, persecuted Jewish sect whose founder had been executed as a criminal. Paul traded his standing as a rising Pharisee with authority from the high priest for a life he describes as constant danger, hunger, and imprisonment. If ambition was the motive, he chose the worst possible vehicle for it.

About this exhibit

This objection is to Paul, the former persecutor.

Paul says in his own letters that before his conversion he violently persecuted the church, and that he changed course after an encounter he describes as seeing the risen Jesus, in Galatians…

Under Claim 03: A former enemy and a former skeptic both changed their lives after claiming to see the risen Jesus.
