Claim 3 of 8 · Case 06 · Problem of Evil
Scripture presents the resurrection of Jesus as God’s declaration that death and evil do not get the last word.
One claim from the free evidence repository at apologetics.pro.
This claim is not first about comfort. It is about a verdict. If Jesus rose, then death, the worst that evil can do, has been beaten, and the suffering of this world, real as it is, is not the final chapter. The historical case for whether the resurrection actually happened is made in our Resurrection of Christ material, so it is not reargued here.

Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians on death defeated
This states in plain terms that the resurrection is a win over death, not just a happy ending for one man. That is what makes it God’s answer to the whole problem of evil rather than a single miracle.
The book of Revelation on the end of suffering
The resurrection is the turning point, and this passage is where the road leads: a world with the pain removed. Suffering is real here, not minimized, but it is not permanent.
Paul’s letter to the Romans weighing present suffering
The same scripture that promises an end to suffering also takes the present suffering seriously, from a man who had plenty of it. The balance is real hope that does not wave away real pain.
