Claim 3 of 5 · Case 15 · Hinduism
A view on which everything is ultimately one and divine has difficulty grounding the reality of evil and real moral distinctions.
One claim from the free evidence repository at apologetics.pro.
This is a standalone logical argument aimed at the popular line “we are all divine” or “it is all one.” If everything is ultimately part of one divine reality, then evil is either itself divine or it is an illusion. If evil is divine, the divine now contains cruelty and exploitation. If evil is an illusion, that sits badly against the plain experience that evil is real. Either way, once the line between Creator and creation is erased, grounding a firm difference between good and evil gets harder.

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, “Pantheism”
This is a genuine issue in the philosophy of religion, not a debating trick. It has real academic footing beyond this comparison alone.
The Advaita “levels of reality” reply (competing explanation)
Put this strongest form first so the argument isn’t a straw man. Worth pressing in reply: can placing morality on a non-ultimate level still ground objective right and wrong at the deepest level, or does it leave morality as something that finally isn’t real? A real question worth sitting in, not a settled win.
